Recreation Centre: located in the heart of the city, the Palmerston Recreation Centre features a stadium equipped with two basketball/netball courts, seating and lighting. The centre is a community facility for the delivery of sporting, recreational and community programs, events and services. One of the main programs that run for youth in this space is Youth Drop-In Sports, facilitated by PARBA.  

Palmerston Library: Libraries aren’t always quiet...the Palmerston Library offers a variety of resources, programs and events for the whole community. Their youth program Geek Squad runs on a Thursday and includes all things Geeky from Anime to gaming and everything in-between. You can also create or update a resume/cover letter at another program called Get Job Ready which runs on Wednesday afternoons.

Palmerston Swimming and Fitness Centre: The Palmerston Swimming and Fitness Centre boasts a 50-metre Olympic sized pool and toddler pool. The pools offer youth the chance to escape the heat of the day and relax in the shade as well as lanes for those who like to keep fit swimming laps. The PYC: The Palmerston Youth Centre is run in partnership by the YMCA NT and Larrakia Nation and is based onsite at the Palmerston Swimming and Fitness Centre. They offer a combination of casual and structured activities, regular meals for young people, mentoring and leadership opportunities. YORET Youth Hub: The Youth Outreach and Re-Engagement Team (YORET) Hub is open to young people 10 to 17 years of age. The Hub is open from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday to Friday and provides a safe and welcoming space for young people. Palmerston Waterslides and Skate Park: The Palmerston Waterslide and Skate Park provide free access for kids of all ages to enjoy some great recreational activities. There is a 14 metre high Palmerston Waterslides with six lanes set up to allow racing, with the results shown on the black electronic display which spans the splash pools.
