Council is excited to extend our 'free facility hire' initiative for Not For Profit groups until June 2025. With Private Use/Parties/Business/Government use to be charged as per City of Palmerston's published Fees and Charges.
The Palmerston Recreation Centre is conveniently located in the city centre, adjacent to the Palmerston Library and Goyder Square (11 the Boulevard, Palmerston City).
It has two large community rooms (including lighting and air-conditioning) and two stadium courts (with or without lighting and air-conditioning) available to hire daily from 8.00am to 10.45pm.
Christmas Closures:
All City of Palmerston facilities will close at 12pm on Tuesday December 24 and reopen on Thursday January 2, 2024 .
This will result in closures from 12pm on December 24 at the following offices and venues:
• Civic Plaza
• Recreation Centre
• Library
• Operations Centre
• Gray Community Hall
• Durack Community Arts Centre
• Driver Resource Centre.
Essential services such as kerbside waste collection, animal management, the Archer Waste Facility, and access to SWELL will remain in operation during these periods.

Bookings
Facilities at the Palmerston Recreation Centre are available to book online.
A refundable deposit of $125.00 required for all bookings*.
Bookings require 24 hour notice. Bookings cannot be made on a Friday or Saturday for that weekend.
For re-occurring bookings, contact the Centre on (08) 8935 9975 or email bookings@palmerston.nt.gov.au prior to completing an online booking to check the times and dates you require is available.
