Cosplay

One of NT's biggest cosplay competitions. The competition is open to young and old with no prior experience required. This is your chance to show your creativity. All cosplayers must have preregistered, no competitors will be accepted at the event.

How to enter

Register online before 11:59pm 30 June 2024. This competition is part of Palmerston Youth Festival, Day 1: Geekfest Top End 2024. Geekfest Top End is held on Saturday, 6 July 2024 and Palmerton Recreation Centre. 

On the day details: Check in at 4:00pm at the entrance to Geekfest Top End (instructions for entry will be sent via email to all registered competitors). Cosplay judging will be located in the Recreation Centre Stadium.

Ultimate Super Smash Bros

Get ready to level up your skills and compete for the prestigious title of Palmerston reigning champion in two divisions: Juniors and Opens. This is your chance to showcase your talent, claim victory, and walk away with your share of the exciting rewards. 

How to enter

Register online before 5:30pm 6 July. Entries will not be accepted outside this time frame. This competition is part of Palmerston Youth Festival, Day 1: Geekfest Top End 2024. Geekfest Top End is held on Saturday, 6 July 2024 at Palmerston Recreation Centre. 

On the day details: First competition starts at 5:30pm. Entrants who are placed in the final of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Esports Tournament in both divisions must play the finals on the main stage located in Goyder Square.

Performance Mentorship - Closed

This competition has now closed. Developed for emerging vocal artists aged between 15 and 25, who have experience being on stage. Selected artists will receive mentorship sessions, perform at PYF Wrap Up Party and win up to $500 (e-gift cards). 

Palmy's Got Talent - Closed

Unveil your talents; music, performance, dance, poetry, or even comedy on stage. This is your unique opportunity to show-off your talent in front of a live audience. 

How to enter

Competition closed 23 June 2024.  Entries will not be accepted outside this time frame. This competition is part of Palmerston Youth Festival, Day 5: Palmy's Got Talent. Palmy's Got Talent is held on Wednesday, 10 July 2024 at Durack Community Arts Centre lawn. 

On the day details: Competitors will be sent instructions directly. 

Categories & Prizes

Performances will be categorised by age 10-15years 16-18 years and 19- 25 years. Each category has a first, second and third prize of the amount below: First- $ 300 Second -$200 Third -$100 Total Prize value $1800, prizes are eGift cards.
