Performance Mentorship

Are you an emerging vocal artists aged between 15 and 25, who has experience being on stage and is looking for the next step? Then our Performer Mentorship is for you! We're offering three local performers the opportunity to receive mentorship over two sessions and then showcase their talent as supporting acts at the Palmerston Youth Festival Wrap Up Party.

Palmerston Youth Festival Wrap Up Party is the closing event of the festival held on Friday 12 July at the Palmerston Recreation Centre. You could be the supporting act for CYRIL. 

These workshops, hosted by Sietta Creative at Gulwa Recording Studio, aim to boost artists' confidence before they hit the main stage. The workshop dates are:

• Saturday 22 June 10am- 2:30pm
• Saturday 29 June 10am-2:30pm

Artists will then be placed first, second and third based on their engagement during the three workshops and awarded a gift card $500 (1st place), $400 (2nd place) and $300 (3rd place).

What you need to know:

How old do you have to be to participate?

Participants must be between 15 and 25 years old

Is it only for Palmerston residents?

This opportunity is for anyone located in the Northern Territory 

How are the participants selected?

The panel will select the top three artists based on selection criteria which include performance experience, lyrical content and genre.

If I'm selected, do I have to perform at Palmerston Youth Festival Wrap Up Party?

Yes. Artists will need to be available between 11am and 7:00pm for sound checks and performance on 12 July. 

 

If I'm selected, do I have to attend all three of the workshops?

Yes.
