City of Palmerston is hosting a variety fun and engaging FREE activities at PRIDE by day, before our PRIDE On Frances Street Party!

Prepare yourself for bingo with a fabulous rainbow twist and a comedy workshop that will have you laughing till your sides ache! After the comedy workshop, get ready for the Writers Workshop, where creativity flourishes and stories come to life! And to add an extra touch of magic to the occasion, Fairy Jill will be there, sprinkling glitter and transforming your gorgeous faces into works of art.

Pop into a special 'Rainbow Storytime' at City of Palmerston Library. Suitable for children and adults of all ages. 

Pride Connections - Networking Event from 1:30pm at the Recreation Centre 

Experience the power of connection at Pride Networking Event.
Join Chris Southcote, facilitator for the event, in a safe space as we engage in conversations that transcend age and experience, fostering growth and unity within our diverse LGBTQ+ community. 
Share your stories, exchange insights, and build lasting connections with like-minded individuals.

Pride Writes! | Writers Workshop from 2pm in the Library

As a proud and queer Territorian, Clare Bizley started the Queers Write group in 2022 to bring folk together in a creative and safe space.
This session includes participating in writing prompts where you can respond and share your writings if you feel comfortable. Pride Writes involves some laughter, some tears, but most of all connection in a safe and positive space. 

Join us later in the evening for an Open Mic segment to share your Pride poetry, story or song.

Pride Comedy Workshop (Adults only) from 2:15pm at the Recreation Centre 

Fancy yourself as a comic but never known where to start? Join us for this interactive workshop host Chris Southcote to learn some basic skills to get you started.  
With comedy historically being an industry dominated by heteronormative voices, Chris has joined his 20 years corporate public speaking experience and his passion for comedy, to develop this interactive introduction focused on developing and nurturing LGBTQIA+ comedy talent for the future.
