Video game development is the most multi-disciplinary creative space in the world at the moment. Designing a video game requires the coordination of musicians, technical artists, programmers, narrative designers, producers, community and marketing specialists and business analysts, to name just a few!
Because of this, it means that almost anyone can contribute to developing a video game, in their own way. Come along to our 2-day workshop to learn the basics on how to get into game development to kick start your career in video gaming!
This workshop covers game development, art, music, business and streaming.

City of Palmerston are excited to sponsor 15 young people aged 15 to 25 to participate in our next Game Development Program ‘Game Devs Unite’.
Hosted by Dylan Bennett from Larrikin Interactive, and supported by Level Up Esports, this 9-week program offers students the opportunity to develop your very own computer game!
This program includes nine sessions over nine weeks.

Learn how to get started with Twitch TV and streaming your favourite video games live online! This workshop will walk you through everything including setting up your channel, picking a streaming platform, equipment and software, branding and design and growing your network and following.
