City of Palmerston are proud to support Royal Life Saving Society NT and their awareness campaign ‘Stay out of pipes and drains’. The campaign reminds Territorians of the dangers of swimming in pipes and drains in the wet season.

Palmerston has an extensive drainage network, so it is important that adults are aware and parents talk to their children about the dangers of swimming in pipes and drains and to remain safe around all water bodies.
There are plenty of other ways to cool off for free at places like SWELL or at the Palmerston Water Park.

Stay safe this wet.

To help spread the word to #staysafethiswet, Royal Life Saving Northern Territory is running a competition. To enter simply go to the Royal life Saving NT website and download the colouring in sheet or word search and complete. Like and follow Water Safety NT on facebook or Instagram and send the completed sheet to watersafety@rlssa.org.au. Competition closes 14th February 2024.
