Works to complete Palmerston’s newest outdoor basketball half-court at Joan Fejo Park in Rosebery were completed recently. 

The location was chosen following community consultation, with the park the clear favourite by a majority of people from across Palmerston! We received lots of great ideas for possible further improvements to the park and future planning of recreation areas.   

As our community grows, Council will continue to ensure that Palmerston is “A Place for People” by providing increased facilities for our residents, as well as supporting our commitment to encouraging healthy and active recreation.

Council funded this project and acknowledges the $11,000 assistance from the Commonwealth Government’s Stronger Communities grant programme.
