Sexual and Gender Diversity Training - Monday 3 June, 10am - 1pm 

LGBTI people have long faced discrimination and stigma at many levels of society, including access to appropriate community services that do not cater adequately to their needs or recognise their identities.
By the end of the session, participants will have a greater understanding of the nuances of identity which will enhance their abilities in interacting with LGBTI people, including:

• Defining LGBTI communities and understanding identity.
• Issues and barriers facing people with diverse genders and sexualities.
• Developing an understanding of various guidelines surrounding sexually and gender diverse individuals.

Queer Comedy Life Drawing - Wednesday 5 June, 6.30pm - 8pm

Grab yourself some charcoal, settle down with a sketchpad and get ready for some serious laughs as Palmerston Pride brings you the very first Queer Comedy Life Drawing!

Hosted by Tina Colada and featuring some of the Top End's most hilarious comedy and drag performers, (including Big D from Boyz2Boyz), this one-and-a-half hour life drawing session will be high on costume and fun, and low on the pressure to create something 'perfect'. 

No drawing experience necessary - embrace and discover new and unique ways to get creative with your fellow LGBTIQA+ community!
Charcoal, grey lead pencils and paper will be provided. BYO other drawing or painting materials (not necessary, but welcome). Refreshments provided.

Queers Write - Saturday 8 June, 4pm - 5.30pm

Queers Write is an opportunity for LGBTQIA+ emerging writers to come together and write! Be inspired by a variety of writing prompts designed to elicit both true and creative stories/poetry from you. 

Share your writings or be inspired by the words of your peers. Please bring a pen and notebook.
