The program provides mentorship from local queer arts practitioners and offers skills development in design, costume, event production, and the art of textiles.

The 8-week workshop program is a progressive weekly program where skills are built on each week leading to mid-year celebration. Attendance for the whole of the 8 weeks is preferred but is flexible. (snacks provided!)

2022 Program

Lit Larvae launched in September 2022, with 10 weeks of making, creating and designing at Untitled Studios, through Darwin Community Arts. With specialist artists sharing their skills in textiles, costume and prop-making, jewellery, upcycling and drag performance, the young people got a taste of a range of practices and skills, with a fantastic exhibition to showcase their creations at the end.
