Welcome to the "GrantsWise: Community Edition"! This workshop is designed to help community groups and associations develop knowledge and skills to apply and secure grant funding.

Workshop includes:

An overview of grants and where to find them

The workshop will commence with an overview of grants, exploring the various types available and the potential sources to find them. We will delve into the intricacies of grant applications and introduce you to valuable resources, databases, and platforms that can help you uncover suitable funding opportunities.

Organisation readiness

Organisation readiness is a crucial aspect of successful grant acquisition, and we will dedicate a segment to preparing your club/organisation for the grant application process. This section will cover strategies for establishing a strong foundation, aligning your organisation's mission with funders' objectives, and developing a compelling case for support.

Practical grant writing tips

One of the workshop highlights is an interactive session on practical grant writing tips. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the essentials of effective grant writing, emphasising key elements such as crafting a clear and persuasive proposal, structuring your application, and addressing the specific requirements of funders.

Proposal/business case development

We will explore the art of proposal and business case development, empowering you with the knowledge and skills to present a comprehensive and compelling case for funding. Through interactive exercises, you will gain hands-on experience in developing persuasive narratives, outlining budgets, and creating robust evaluation plans to increase your chances of success.

Acquittals and record keeping - why this is important?

Acquittals and record keeping may sound tedious, but they play a pivotal role in securing future funding. We will emphasise the importance of tracking and documenting the use of grant funds, explaining how accurate acquittals and meticulous record-keeping contribute to building trust with funders and ensuring ongoing support for your organisation's endeavours.

Q&A session plus handouts

The workshop will conclude with an extensive Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to address any specific queries or concerns you may have. In addition, you will receive comprehensive handouts, including templates, checklists, and valuable resources, to serve as references and tools for future grant applications.

By attending this workshop, you will leave with a clear understanding how grants work, practical grant-writing skills, and the knowledge necessary to develop compelling proposals and business cases. Don't miss this opportunity to unlock the doors to funding success for your organisation!
