Neville Driver
Neville has greatly benefited the Palmerston community through his work with the Palmerston and Litchfield Seniors Association(PLSA), which serves to create important social connection and cohesion as well as a sense of purpose for members transiting into retirement who may be socially isolated from family and friends. Neville's exceptional leadership, dedication and expertise has significantly improved the well-being and quality of life for seniors in Palmerston.
Young Citizen of the Year
Jessica Porter
Jessica has made a positive impact on the lives of many young Territorians in Palmerston through her tireless advocacy work. Jessica embodies community spirit - continuously 'showing up' and 'having a go' at all opportunities whilst advocating for young people in Palmerston to assist with improving mental health, finding new friends and gaining employability skills.
Community Event of the Year
Eat-Up Project
Eat-Up Project was launched in February 2021 in the Northern Territory in collaboration with Eat-Up Australia and the Rotary Club of Litchfield/Palmerston. As a part of the Eat-Up Project, cheese sandwiches have been provided at no cost to students and ten schools in the local area. Over three years, the club has delivered over 40,600 sandwiches through its Eat project and has done 1000 hours of selfless service.
