City of Palmerston’s official Australia Day ceremony will be hosted at the Palmerston Recreation Centre from 1pm on Saturday 26 January. 

Council extends a warm invitation to our community to attend this significant day and join us as we celebrate what we all love about our Country. 

43 new citizens will be welcomed with a citizenship ceremony, Palmerston’s defence community will be represented with a tri-service flag raising ceremony and Student Citizen Award winners from Palmerston schools will be acknowledged. We also present awards to our 2019 Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Event of the Year. 

Palmerston’s Australia Day Ambassador, Rachel Fosdick, will be in attendance. Entertainment by the NT Dance Company and Crocodile Country, with Helen Wallace and Grace Bestmann singing the National Anthem.
