Geekfest Top End is taking over Palmerston CBD, and we're bringing more excitement than ever! As the Northern Territory’s longest-running geek convention, it’s all about celebrating everything geek culture.
This year’s event is packed with fan favourite attractions and a bunch of new experiences that’ll have you geeking out all day. Into cosplay? Gaming? Medieval adventures? Markets? Interactive fun? We’ve got it all and then some.
Highlights include:
Special Guest – Vera Chimera: Internationally renowned cosplayer with over 15 years of experience.
Games & Interactive Tech: Arcade and board games, local game developers, augmented reality, laser tag, silent disco.
Creative Zone: Artist Alley.
Medieval Village: Live blacksmithing, leathercraft demos, swordplay demonstrations and replica weapons.
Cosplay Central: Outfit parade, repair station, meet and greet with Vera Chimera.
Fan Favourites: Ghostbusters NT, food trucks and more to explore.

- Get ready to flex your game dev skills at Geekfest Top End 2025 with the Retro Geek Game Jam! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, we’re inviting NT creators of all ages and skill levels to design games inspired by retro geek culture—think pixel art, vintage consoles, old-school sci-fi, and 80s/90s nostalgia.

- Cosplay
- A cosplay competition celebrating creativity and character, where participants of all ages showcase costumes from their favourite fandoms.
- Registration closes 30 June 2025
On the day comps:
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Test your skills against the best players in the Northern Territory and battle it out to become the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Champion!
- Pre-register for the tournament at the Stadium Stage at the event from 5pm.
- Purple Brick Road
- Get ready for the ultimate geek challenge at Geekfest Top End! Complete at least six out of ten thrilling challenges as you make your way around this all-ages event held in Palmerston CBD
- Pick up your ‘Purple Brick Road’ card at the entrance of Geekfest Top End Day 1 or at the Info Desk.
