We're committed to keeping the community informed of the operational and strategic future planning of Palmerston. Your Community Plan was prepared by the community, for the community, and sets the vision and main priorities to achieve. The plan enables us to be certain when making decisions or providing advice.

The Municipal Plan is prepared each year, and outlines service delivery and budget for the next 12 months. It is the key document that brings together the Community Plan, and Long Term Financial Plan.  

The Annual Report details our performance against the set targets in the Municipal Plan.

As a future-focused Council, we know that with population growth comes investment and business opportunities, which is why in 2021, we released our Local Economic Plan. This 10-year plan challenges everyone to work together to make Palmerston a destination city for employment and a place for business.
