Do not approach or attempt to capture an unfamiliar dog or cat if you feel unsafe. Report the location and description of the dog to Council so appropriate action can be taken. 

You could also post a photo and description on local community pages, we appreciate the communities support in safety reuniting animals with their owners.

Check our pound page, contact local veterinary clinics, animal shelters, check community pages & contact us to report your missing pet.

If the animal is safe to approach, check whether it has identification or a registration tag. Contact us to report the found animal and provide its location and description.

If we have impounded your dog or cat, contact us as soon as possible to determine where the animal is being held and what is required for release. Fees and other requirements may apply.

  • Out of hours  5:30 pm - 7:00 pm (Stray dogs & dog attacks)
  • Urgent response from 7:00 pm (Dog attacks only) 

Rangers do not attend non-urgent matters after 7:00 pm for urgent animal issues, we can be contacted on
