Our library provides access to many services including home library services, internet access, mobile printing and scanning, help with technology, and access to a Justice of the Peace.
Use the online library catalogue to place a hold on items from our collection and collect them when they’re ready.
How to reserve:
- Log in to the online catalogue.
- Search for the item and open the title.
- Select Reserve and choose your preferred pickup library.
- We’ll notify you when the item is ready to collect.
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Library members can suggest items for purchase. If your suggestion meets our collection development guidelines, we’ll order it and place it on hold for you.
Older or hard-to-find items:
We may be able to source items from other libraries through an Inter Library Loan. If you’d like us to try this option, note it in your request. A $33.60 fee applies to interstate inter library loans. We’ll contact you before proceeding.
What happens next:
- We assess your request.
- If suitable and available, the item is ordered.
- You’ll be notified when it’s ready to collect.
- Timeframes vary and can’t be guaranteed. If you need an item urgently, you may wish to purchase your own copy.

Can I donate books to the library?
Yes — we welcome donations, but we can only accept items that are:
- published in the last 12 months
- in like-new condition
- popular and suitable for library use
If we can’t add your donation to the collection, we may pass it on to other organisations, recycle it, or dispose of it.
All members of the community are entitled to equal access to library information, resources, and a high standard of service.
With the support of our staff and volunteers, the Library To You – Home Library Service brings the library to community members who are unable to physically visit their local library due to special circumstances.
This is a FREE service.
Library To You is a fortnightly delivery service that brings library resources directly to your home, residential facility, or hospital.

We have 12 computers and three laptops you can use for up to one hour for free. If you have your own device, we have a charging bar available to recharge your laptop, phone or tablet - all for free.
There is also free wireless internet available through City of Palmerston WiFi.
The library has printing and scanning services available for public use. You can even send your printing requirements remotely to collect from library later. Fees apply.
To send documents remotely download the free princh app, or click here for one time use, upload your document for print and send it off. You can then collect and make payment from the library at your convenience.
Our library staff can also help you get tech savvy! For hints and tips on navigating your way around Microsoft Office, the internet, a particular website or even social media, you can ask our friendly library staff for help.
Whether you bring your own laptop, smart device, or if you are using the library computers, our staff are here to help, just pop by - no bookings required.
JPs volunteer their time at the library on:
- Monday: 12pm–3pm
- Wednesday: 9am–1pm
- Friday: 10am–1pm
You don’t need to book, but we recommend calling ahead to check the JP is available. As this is a volunteer service, times can sometimes change.
