The library provides loads of opportunities to bring the community together through a variety of programs. We offer a diverse range of programs for all ages. From coding to school holiday fun, and digital literacy, there is something for everyone at the Palmerston Library.

3D printing services are available to the public at City of Palmerston Library for FREE. 

3D printing is a process that creates three-dimensional objects from a digital design file. The printer builds the object layer by layer using plastic filament, allowing for the creation of detailed and customised items.

Our staff are here to support you in building your digital confidence. Whether you have a quick question or want a longer one-on-one session, we’re happy to help you navigate everyday technology tasks.

We can assist with:

  • Accessing emails and resetting passwords
  • Using government and community websites
  • Managing files with USB drives and cloud storage
  • Connecting devices to Wi-Fi and installing apps
  • Basic use of Microsoft Word, online shopping, social media, and online banking

To keep our focus on helping you learn and grow your skills, there are some services we don’t provide:

  • Full phone setup or data transfer between devices
  • Data recovery or lost file restoration
  • Device activation or hardware troubleshooting
  • Virus or malware removal

If you need help with more complex technical issues, we recommend contacting a professional technician or the device manufacturer. We’re happy to help you find the right resources.

Be Connected - free online lessons

We have teamed up with Be Connected, an Australian Government initiative to support older Australians to access digital services. We offer access to a digital literacy program that aims to increase your confidence and skill in going online. You can book in for one-on-one sessions with a digital mentor at any of our libraries.

Learning to read can be fun, especially in the Frillies Club.

Perfect for pre-schoolers to Year 6's, new members receive a Frillies Club pack which includes a bookmark, activity booklet and your very own logbook to mark down how many books you read.

There are monthly prize draws for kids that read 5 books per month.

Gadgets and Games is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) inspired program where children can explore and create using robots, electronics, gaming devices, Roblox, puzzles and/or board games while unwinding and connecting with others.

Meet other local Anime and Manga fans to watch and discuss all things Anime/Manga.  Get your gaming on, play computer games or table top gaming such as Dungeons and Dragons and connect with like-minded teens.

The Information Hub at the library offers a space for not-for-profit organisations, government departments, and other groups or clubs to set up and promote their services and activities to the public. Representatives will also be available to answer any questions. 

The information hub sessions are scheduled for weekdays at individual organisations availability.

The City of Palmerston Library Art Gallery space is available free of charge for local community artists to showcase their work. 

From emerging artist's or have an established collection, this is a great opportunity to share your creativity with the wider community in a welcoming and accessible space.

Exhibitions can include a range of mediums such as painting, photography, mixed media, and more. Our gallery is located within the library, offering strong visitor traffic and great exposure for your work.
