The Community Funding Program is our grant funding initiative that aims to support individuals, groups and organisations. The program provides grassroots groups and associations the opportunity to deliver something positive for the wider community that will contribute to Palmerston being a Place for People.

Representation Support
This funding supports individuals and teams (based in Palmerston) in sporting and other activities who are representing Palmerston, the Northern Territory or Australia.

Community Grants, Environmental Initiative & Sponsorship
Community Grants: To encourage and support new projects and activities that build on social cohesion for the Palmerston community.
Environmental Initiatives: To support environmental initiatives that demonstrate impact in one or more actions within our Sustainability Strategy. With a strong commitment to sustainability, we look to support initiatives that promote renewable and sustainable practices. Applications with an environmental focus are also made available to local businesses that can meet the dollar for dollar contribution requirement.
Sponsorship: To support events, initiatives, or projects that provide significant recognition, foster economic development, and promote growth within Palmerston. Sponsorship can be in the form of a one of, multi-year, or in-kind, with no limit to the amount.

Other funding support
Annual School Awards
Council offers $100 every financial year to all schools within our municipality.
The funds are to be used as a City of Palmerston Community Service Award, in line with each recipient school’s criteria.
Each school within our municipality is contacted directly with application requirements.
Graffiti Removal Grant
This funding application supports larger graffiti removal projects by community groups and not-for-profit organisations up to a maximum amount of $500.
Other graffiti removal support is available for those not eligible for this grant. More information is available here.
