The Information Hub at the Library offers a space for not-for-profit organisations, government departments, and other community groups or clubs to showcase their services and activities. It’s a great opportunity for the public to learn more and connect directly, with representatives available to answer questions.

Information Hub sessions are scheduled at various times throughout the week, depending on each organisation’s availability.

Organisation Details

54 Reasons  (Save the children) is Australia's leading, child's rights organisation.

Play2Learn is an early childhood program for 0-5 years. It aims to improve early childhood development, parenting skills and connection to community amongst the families that attend.

Student Advocacy Service works collaboratively with families and NTG Schools, working through barriers for inclusive education.

APM Communities delivers Local Area Coordination (LAC) services as part of the NDIS on behalf of the National Disability Insurance Agency.

APM Communities helps people with disability, NDIS participants, families, and carers to identify and access the support they need to enable participants to realise their individual goals and aspirations.

Local Area Coordinators (LACs) also work with these services and organisations to be more inclusive and supportive of people with disability.

Arthritis & Osteoporosis NT is a member-based organisation supporting those affected by arthritis and osteoporosis.  They have available to the general public a wide range of helpful resources to better understand and manage these conditions.  They also conduct dedicated info sessions throughout the year.  

Canteen provides free and tailored support to young people aged 12-25 who are impacted by cancer. 

CAAPS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) supporting individuals and families through services that reflect our values of caring, openness, respect and empowerment. 

Carers NT is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation supporting unpaid carers across the Northern Territory through dedicated Carer Support, Aged Care, and NDIS services.

Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) to provide culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care and community services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the greater Darwin region of the Northern Territory.

For over 30 years, Darwin Community Legal Service (DCLS) has championed justice for Territorians, providing free, confidential legal support to those most in need. As the Northern Territory’s only generalist community legal centre, we offer a lifeline to people experiencing social and economic disadvantage.

Our multi-disciplinary, socio-legal model brings together legal professionals and support workers across our General Legal Team, Tenancy Advice Service, and Advocacy Services. Co-located and collaborative, our teams deliver holistic, integrated support tailored to each client’s needs.

Dawn House in Darwin provides crisis accommodation and counselling for women and their children escaping domestic, family, or sexual violence. It also delivers community education and advocacy programs that promote safety, empowerment, and the right to live free from violence.

Dementia Alliance Darwin and Palmerston Dementia Alliance, is a volunteer-led community group seeking to support people living with dementia and their families to continue living well, by sharing relevant information on dementia, services and providing opportunities for physical and mental activities and social connection.

Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT) (MIFANT) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting the Northern Territory community for over 30 years.
With services in Darwin, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, MIFANT provides recovery-focused support to people living with mental health conditions, as well as their families and carers. In Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, we also deliver early intervention programs for children and young people at risk of developing mental illness, helping to build resilience and promote mental wellbeing in these communities.

My Pathway provides fully funded support to people who are interested in starting their own business, or who need help to refocus an existing micro business, through the Self-Employment Assistance Program.  Approved participants can choose from a range of options, including workshops, advice sessions, business planning, coaching and mentoring and/or accredited training.

NHWNT use information from the Police and the community to develop and deliver safety resources that help Territorians stay secure, become more connected and feel safer. 

Safety education is a pivotal aspect of the work NHWNT do. We provide relevant crime prevention and community safety information to Territory residents. 

NHWNT work to encourage community connections across the NT to create safer, happier and more resilient neighbourhoods. 

The Office of Youth Affairs is located in the Department of People, Sport and Culture.

The office provides a whole-of-government approach to policy priorities for young people aged 12 to 25 years and develops effective communication links between:

  • young people
  • government
  • the wider community.

The office supports initiatives that:

  • enhance young Territorians’ personal wellbeing
  • hear young Territorians' voices
  • promote their positive achievements
  • assist them to reach their goals.

In addition, the office supports events and activities that provide positive recreational and developmental opportunities for young Territorians.

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) Top End is a not-for-profit organisation committed to enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities through horse riding and equine-assisted programs in Darwin and the surrounding region. Our safe, supportive, and fun environment helps participants build confidence, develop life skills, and experience the joy of working with horses.

TEMHCO is a for-purpose charity organisation located in Palmerston, Northern Territory. We provide a safe place for people living with a mental illness to access practical support and connection, as well as advocating for improvements within the mental health system guided by available data, resource sharing across jurisdictions and lived experience.

TEWLS provides free civil and family law services, including legal information and referral, advice, casework and representation services, community legal education, and advocacy to women in the Top End.

The Territory Community Safety is a unit within the NT Police that coordinate NTG and NGO community safety service providers to optimise their service delivery.

As a part of achieving our core business, we hold Community Safety Pop-Up stalls providing the public with a multitude of safety information, resources, and service referrals. We also stock various safety related branded merchandise.

YouthWorX NT is a community-focused organisation supporting young people in the Greater Darwin and Alice Springs communities through employment, training, mentoring, and wellbeing services.

Through culturally responsive, person-centred programs — including Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA), Encompass, Career Start Digital, Career Launchpad, and EmployMe NT — YouthWorX NT helps build skills, confidence, and pathways into education and employment.
