Junior Sustainable Fishing Workshop

We've partnered with Community Organisation, Ozfish to deliver a Junior Sustainable Fishing Workshop at Sanctuary Lakes. This workshop will cover everything a junior fisher needs to know about protecting natural biodiversity in our waterways as well as effective catch and release techniques to increase survival rates including tackle selection and knot tying. Participants will take home their own tackle starter kit thanks to support from BCF with loads of practical information to implement straight away in the Hooked On Palmerston Fishing Competition which runs until October.

Each participant is asked to bring along their own rod if they have one. Basic rods will be available for loan to those who need them.

Children under 12 years of age will require a parent or guardian to remain in the immediate area for the duration of the workshop.

Registration is full, however, we encourage you to join our waitlist. In the event of a cancelation we will contact you with an offer to attend. You will also be the first to know when we confirm the next workshop which will be before the end of October.
