Participants will have a go at bringing their ideas to life in 3D! Using beginner-friendly software, they'll sculpt and shape their own digital creations - no experience needed.

Ever wondered how game music is made? Participants will get hands-on experience creating their own beats and soundscapes using real music production tools - perfect for budding composers and total beginners alike.

Think cyclones, thunderstorms, crocs, humidity, bushfires, mango madness, roadtrips, beach missions, flooded highways, camping season, mozzies, aircons fighting for their lives, or anything inspired by the wild contrast between the NT’s two iconic seasons. 

Build a game that's funny, weird, nostalgic, dramatic, cosy, or completely chaotic — this is your chance to build something uniquely Territory.

The IBC Game Open returns for its third year running at Geekfest Top End 2026, bringing the Top End’s own tabletop game back for another unforgettable cosmic showdown.  

Featuring fast-paced strategy, intense rivalries and exciting gameplay, the tournament delivers incredible competition for players of all ages and skill levels, from first-time challengers to seasoned veterans.  

Competitors can battle for glory in the Youth Division (17 & Under) or the Open Division (all ages), with epic prizes on the line and the ultimate honour of becoming this year’s GFTE Open Champion. Who will conquer the stars and claim the title?
