Playground Refurbishment Consultation

We're planning to refurbish the playground at Sanctuary Lakes and the junior playground at Marlow Lagoon.

We undertook a consultation program on play elements within each playground. As part of this, we sought feedback on options to include within each playground. These playgrounds are built for you, so we want to hear from you.

Ways to provide feedback included our online form, over the phone, email and on social media.

Consultation closed on 6 October 2024. Please note, this project involves playground refurbishments, not an entire new build. 

Project update March 2025

Following on from the community consultation, we're pleased to share the new designs that our community helped create, thanks to the fantastic feedback received. We took your advice and included:

• More inclusive play elements such as birds nest swing sets, multi-user spinning activities, and ramp access to platforms and slides.
• Musical elements to increase the sensory play experience of the parks.
• More swing options at Sanctuary Lakes, with an additional mini-nest swing aimed at the junior age group.

Construction at Marlow Lagoon will commence on Tuesday 11 March, and is expected to be completed by the start of the school holidays, Saturday 5 April.

Construction at Sanctuary Lakes is due to commence in April.
