The Vibrant Economy Advisory Committee (VEAC) provides advice to Council relating to actions and priorities relating to the Palmerston Local Economic Plan and its Action Plan.

The roles of the Vibrant Economy Advisory Committee are:

  • Provide advice to Council in identifying economic development opportunities, improving the services provided to the community, in accordance with legislation and council policies.
  • Provide strategic business focus, industry perspective and balanced input for the implementation of the Local Economic Plan and its Action Plan.
  • Provide business perspective and advise on economic development issues or opportunities or Council's relevant plans and strategies.

All we need from you is to fill out the form below and provide a short explanation on why you would like to be involved and Council will then consider your application.

The Committee meets quarterly in the Council Chambers from 5.00pm.
