Parking in Palmerston is free and just got easier

City of Palmerston is excited to announce that parking in Palmerston is more convenient than ever. All parking meters will be removed, and the pay stay app will no longer be required, eliminating the need for tickets. Residents, workers, and visitors can now access all that Palmerston has to offer without hassle. The best part? Parking remains completely free!

While parking remains free, all time zones will still be enforced to ensure parking spaces are available throughout the day. Infringements will still apply, so check the signage and adhere to the time limits.

City of Palmerston’s Acting Mayor, Mark Fraser expressed his enthusiasm for the change, stating: “We’re making parking in Palmerston easier and more convenient for everyone. Whether you are here for work, shopping or leisure, you can park without the hassle of getting a parking ticket or using an app. We’re committed to keeping Palmerston accessible, vibrant, and user-friendly”.

This initiative aligns with City of Palmerston’s ongoing efforts to create a welcoming and thriving community space where convenience and accessibility are top priorities.
