City of Palmerston is excited to announce the return of the Palmerston Youth Festival for the July school holidays. This year’s event is set to be even bigger and better than last year!

We will be bringing back the favourites with an all-ages music festival, Suburban Sounds, set to open the week’s festivities. Palmerston will see an all-Indigenous line up of talented musicians hitting the stage. The headlining, award-winning act, Miiesha (acoustic) will be supported by Birdz, Justin Wellington, Lil Mase, Yung Milla and Prayer Corby on 10 July at Goodline Park, Rosebery.

The week of FREE events held at various locations around Palmerston, will be full of arts, culture, and sports, wrapping up the festival with two days of the best version of Comicon in the Territory; Geekfest Top End. Day one of Geekfest will include all the things we’ve grown to love with cosplay, virtual reality, art stalls, plus the NT’s biggest annual Esports competition, this year being held on the big screen at Events Cinemas Palmerston. Day two will see the Palmerston CBD taken over with loads of ‘geeky’ entertainment including the popular Questacon AND the spectacular finale light show, a first of it’s kind in the NT. Palmerston will bring the light at this year’s youth fest with an orchestra of 80 drones illuminating the sky in a synchronized event that will blow you away.

The festival will run from 10 to 16 July. To view the full program, head to palmerstonyouthfestival.com.au

Events like the Palmerston Youth Festival are important in building a safe and inclusive community for our young people.  The Territory Labor Government is proud to support this initiative of the City of Palmerston, and I congratulate everyone involved in delivering this important event together.

Quote from Member for Drysdale, Eva Lawler
The Palmerston Youth Festival was such a great event last year and I can’t wait to see an even bigger and better event in 2022. The event provides so much opportunity for our young people to be involved and recognizes the contribution they make to the Palmerston community.

Quote from City of Palmerston Mayor, Athina Pascoe-Bell

It’s fantastic to be able to announce the return of the Palmerston Youth Festival for 2022, with a jam-packed program more exciting than ever! It’s important that we continue to provide opportunities for our youth to remain engaged and participate in community events. I invite you all to come and enjoy what this year’s festival as well as the Palmerston CBD has to offer.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the Northern Territory Government for supporting this initiative for another year.
