The myPalmerston voucher scheme might be quick to disappear as the city and rural folk shift their sights on the bustling metropolis of Palmerston. Take advantage this long weekend and grab your Easter goodies, catch-up brunches, or even stock up on dry season camping gear.

If you haven’t heard, myPalmerston vouchers are still open and there are almost $500,000 worth of savings still available! Anyone can take advantage of these savings, whether you are a local or a visitor.

The voucher scheme, which is funded on a 2:1 investment with the Northern Territory Government, launched in Palmerston on the 14 March worth a whopping $600,000. This is almost three times the amount available in the original scheme back in 2020.

So far in 2022, Palmerston local businesses have seen an injection to the economy of around $650,000,000 with almost 8,500 vouchers being used. Over 15,000 people have registered for the voucher scheme this time around with almost 100 local businesses onboard.

Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell is happy with the results of the scheme so far.

“These initial results are really promising for the local economy and it’s great to see so many customers supporting our local businesses.”

With school holidays and the Easter break ahead of us, I expect a good chunk of the funds to be spent. Make sure you take full advantage of these discounts when you head to the shops this weekend!”

The scheme is still very valuable for the economy as the impacts from the pandemic are long lasting as we continue to see outbreaks in our local community. With the generous support of the Northern Territory Government we can continue to support our local Palmerston businesses to get through these tough times,” she said.

There are 5 vouchers worth a total of $40, and unlike myDarwin vouchers, myPalmerston vouchers are renewed every 24 hours. That means you can do brunch every day this break if you please!

There are currently 88 locations where you can spend your vouchers including businesses at Gateway, Oasis and Palmerston Shopping Centres. There are also some hidden gems in Bakewell, Zuccoli and Yarrawonga.

There are more ways to use your vouchers other than on a bite to eat or a massage, so check out the full variety of businesses participating at my.palmerston.nt.gov.au today and get registered.

The scheme finishes when all the money runs out and so beat the rush!
