City of Palmerston is developing a Sustainability Strategy 2021 to support its growing community and ensure our environment and liveability is protected and enhanced for current and future generations.
The draft Strategy focuses primarily on the environmental pillar of sustainability, looking at our relationship to and impact on our environmental surroundings. It aims to preserve our natural assets, reduce our collective impacts, and evolve our practices.
The draft Strategy is framed around four themes.
1. Protecting our urban ecology and natural environment
2. Empowering and connecting community
3. Future focused on efficiencies
4. Lead with purpose
