Palmerston Alderman Mick Spick will become the City’s next Deputy Mayor, after being elected by his Council colleagues at tonight’s ordinary meeting.

At its first ordinary meeting as the new Council, Elected Members endorsed the terms for the position of Deputy Mayor to be for a term of five months, allowing the opportunity for Aldermen to fulfil the role. 

Alderman Spick will fulfill this role from Wednesday 19 September 2018 to Tuesday 19 February 2018 (inclusive).

City of Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell thanks current Deputy Mayor Damien Hale for his service and commitment to the position and welcomes Alderman Spick to the role.

On acceptance, Alderman Spick thanked his fellow Elected Members for their support.

Biography 
Mick lives with his wife in the suburb of Driver. His interests include all codes of footy having laced up the boots at least once to jump on the field for each code. Personal motivators include veteran's affairs, social issues and improving the local area for everyone.
