The Zuccoli Community Hub aims to provide an integrated multi-purpose precinct to meet the open space, recreation and community needs for the rapidly growing Zuccoli and wider Palmerston communities.
The Zuccoli Community Hub development will support not only the 10,000 residents in the immediate area of the space, but all residents of Palmerston and the surrounds.
The project will cost approximately $30 million.

Completed
Off-leash Zuccoli Dog Park
Opened in 2026, the Zuccoli Dog Park includes separate areas for quiet and active dogs, with shaded seating, water play, sensory elements and sand pits.
An accessible public toilet, temporary car park and pathway with lighting were also delivered as part of the works.
Zuccoli Pump Track
Opened in March 2026, the pump track provides a space for beginner and intermediate riders and was designed with input from the community.
Works completed across the site also include sections of the walking trail, a shelter and BBQ area.
Council undertook a Masterplan process for the site in 2021, which included community consultation before its finalisation in 2022. The Masterplan provides an overview of all elements to be included on site. As the project will cost in the order of $30 million to complete, it’s been staged to allow for progressive development as funding becomes available. Council is actively seeking grant funding to support this project coming to life.
History
City of Palmerston was awarded a land grant from the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL), for the purpose of community infrastructure in Zuccoli. The Crown Land is approximately 46.95 hectares, being part of Lots 12087, 4250and 4251 Town of Palmerston (20Tuckeroo Boulevard Zuccoli, 512 Stuart Highway Johnston and 575 Roystonea Avenue Zuccoli).
The site is to construct a community hub and maintain the Mitchell Creek corridor for conservation and passive recreation purposes.
City of Palmerston further consulted with the community on its proposed concept design from Thursday 7 October to Friday 12 November 2021.
As of 14 December 2021, a report to council provided community consultation feedback. Community feedback was further considered, and where appropriate, incorporated into a final Masterplan draft, that was presented to Council via a report in February 2022 for consideration. Council endorsed proposed solutions.
The overall hub Masterplan has since received Ministerial approval.
In July 2025, Council endorsed a report that refined some of the details within the concept plan in preparation for the design of stage 3.
Some preliminary clearing of the site will occur in preparation for the public tender. The tender for the dog park construction was live in April 2022 via our City of Palmerston tenders on Tenderlink. The Zuccoli Dog Park including public toilet was completed in 2023.
