City of Palmerston has released its draft Municipal Plan 2026-27 for community to provide their thoughts.
The draft plan focuses on delivering quality services, initiatives and projects that are sustainable and valued by the community. The plan sets the path forward for the next year, and allows you as the community to see where your rates are going.

Key information
Rates will increase in 2026 - 27 as follows:
- 4.9% increase to the minimum rate for Residential and Residential Marlow Lagoon (equivalent to $71.50)
- 5.9% increase to the minimum rate for Commercial and Industrial properties (equivalent to $87.45)
- 4.9% increase to the Rate in the Dollar Residential and Residential Marlow Lagoon properties
- 5.9% increase to the Rate in the Dollar for Commercial properties
- 7% increase to the Rate in the Dollar for all Industrial properties
- Waste charges will increase by $19.00 for the year for residential properties with access to Archer Waste Management Facility remaining for all Palmerston residents.
