Palmerston residents who hold a NT Seniors or Age Pensioners Concession Card, are able to request the City of Palmerston to deliver a free load of mulch to their property.

This service follows Council’s offer of free mulch, shredded green waste collected from the impact of Tropical Cyclone Marcus, to Palmerston residents this weekend at selected Palmerston sites.

City of Palmerston Mayor, Athina Pascoe-Bell said this offer is for this group of people who may be unable to attend the free mulch site locations this weekend.

“Eligible card holders can request this free delivery by contacting Council and providing their; name, address, phone number and senior and/or pensioner concession card number,” she said.

Requests can be placed with Council by phone on 8935 9950 until Monday 30 April 2018.

Council staff will deliver the mulch (not spread on yards/garden beds) from Tuesday 1 May 2018, to those who have requested the service.

“Inclusivity is important to Council and I’m pleased we can offer this free service to them,” she added.
