On Saturday, 12 April 2025, Danielle Eveleigh resigned from her role as an Elected Member of the City of Palmerston Council. Ms Eveleigh was elected to the tenth City of Palmerston Council and has been a dedicated advocate for the Palmerston community throughout her term.
Acting Mayor Damian Hale acknowledged Ms Eveleigh’s contributions, stating:
“Danielle’s strong commitment to the Palmerston community was evident during her time as an Elected Member. She was actively engaged in local events and maintained close connections with the residents she represented. Council thanks Danielle for her service and wishes her all the best in the future.”
Council is currently considering its options to fill the vacancy, noting that Local Government elections are scheduled for August 2025.
