If you have ever stepped foot inside City of Palmerston’s Library, you will know that it is no typical Library. Yes, it has books and computers, but the Palmerston Library offers so much more and is now welcoming a sneaky night-time addition just for the grown-ups. Late nights at the Library is all about socialising and maybe even finding a new mate, without having to join the gym or a sports team. It is an opportunity to relieve yourself from the weather, enjoy different activities and have some good clean and wholesome fun in the Library.
Try your skill at origami earring making, enjoy a murder mystery night, or if you are not a huge fan of the incoming festive season what about ‘Bah Humbug Trivia’? There are loads more great themes ahead, so make sure you head out to the Palmerston Library for a fabulous start to your Friday evening.
“The City of Palmerston Library is unique. We welcome a whole range of people and activities, particularly for the littlies, so it’s great to introduce something for the adults,” said Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell.
“It will be a great opportunity for those who have just moved to Palmerston and don’t have a network of friends yet, or even those with partners away for work. The Library does a magnificent job of offering activities that are fun and engaging and this one should be a ripper,” she said.
Late Nights at the Library will be operating sessions every fortnight on Fridays from 6:30pm. Entry is free and bookings are not required. The first session kicks off on 25 November and is running all the way until the end of March. For the full schedule and more information on each activity, go to the City of Palmerston’s Facebook page or website.
