National Families Week, 15 – 21 May 2022, is a time to celebrate with family and friends and share the enjoyment of connecting with each other and the extended community.
City of Palmerston is inviting the community to help celebrate National Families Week at our Community Open Day, this Saturday 14 May from 11am – 1:30pm at the Palmerston Recreation Centre. Join us as we celebrate families in all their different forms. The kids will be entertained with some craft sessions including sand art, scratch art and Batik with NT Art Storms from 11am -1:30pm.
City of Palmerston is also celebrating annual National Families Week by showcasing artwork entries from local schools and community members from the 9th -20th May. Artwork is currently being displayed at the Palmerston Recreation Centre foyer. This year we have received amazing artwork, from Bakewell Primary School, Journey Early Learning, YMCA Gray Childcare Centre and YMCA Rosebery Childcare Centre as well as members of the Palmerston community.
City of Palmerston Acting Mayor, Amber Garden is looking forward to another community event.
“Palmerston has a large population of families, so it’s great that we are able to offer something where the community can connect and share, especially for families that may have recently moved to Palmerston,” she said.
The celebrations are open to all ages, we hope to see you there!
