The City of Palmerston Library’s opening hours will increase to meet growing community demand.

The library will open for an additional six hours per week from Monday to Friday, making it the Northern Territory’s most accessible library.

Community members will also now have access to additional Council services directly at the library, such as payment of dog registration and rates, with a Customer Service position being trialled at the library.

From Monday 20 April the library opening hours will be:
Monday to Thursday       9.00am - 6.00pm
Friday                             10.00am - 8.00pm
Saturday                         10.00am - 1.00pm
Sunday                           1.00pm - 4.00pm
Closed Public Holidays

These changes are part of the library’s various improvements to services for the growing Palmerston community, including upgrades to technology and devices, expanding programs and reducing fees for use of computer and printing facilities.

Quote from City of Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell

“The City of Palmerston Library is one of the highest rated libraries by community members in the Northern Territory and we are always looking at ways to improve our services to meet the needs of our growing community.”

“With the longest opening hours of any library in the Northern Territory, we are looking forward to seeing the community use these facilities more and more.”
