Finding a parking spot in the City Centre will be a little easier as the City of Palmerston opened an additional car parking lot today. 

The 25 new (all-day) car parks, located between the Palmerston Library and Quest Palmerston, are currently free to use under Council’s free parking initiative over the festive season.

The new parking bay was previously a Council-owned vacant lot.

From Monday 7 January 2019, the bays will be part of a paid parking area; Zone B: All Day parking ($1 p/hr up to a maximum of $4).

There are currently over 100 free car parking spaces in the Palmerston City Centre (various time limited).
