Are you a mobile food vendor searching for a semi-permanent public space to set up shop? City of Palmerston offers a variety of ideal public spaces for your needs. Pop up dining options can include self-contained and mobile food or beverage van, a market style food stall, a coffee or ice cream cart, or even a pop up cafe with seating and a more extensive menu. What ever your set up, Palmerston has a space for you. Interested vendors are asked to apply for a permit and comply with specified requirements as set out in the information kit.
Vendors must;
- be fully self-sufficient including power, water and waste
- be compliant with NT Food act and NT food safety standards
- hold current registration of a food business with the NT department of health
- hold current Public Liability insurance for $20million

If vendors wish to allow BYO alcohol to be consumed at their dining venue, operators must apply for a permit according to the NT Liquor Act.
The annual pop-up dining fee is $25.00 PLUS a $60 key deposit to access certain locations (if required)
Vendors must comply with councils signs code. Signage must not obstruct pedestrians, workers or traffic in any location. All signage must be approved by council.
Vendors must identify preferred locations in their application according to the open spaces that are managed by City of Palmerston.
No pop-up dining is permitted within the Palmerston CBD area.
All permits have a 12 month validity and cannot be transferred from location or operator. All approved vendors must retain a printed copy of their permit with them while on site, and made available to an authorised council officer on request.
