As a council that keeps the community at the core of everything it does, we offer residents, businesses and community groups to participate in a variety of opportunities through an expression of interest application. The opportunities often vary and generally benefit the individual and the community and we welcome anyone to express and interest in participating in the following;

City of Palmerston delivery an extensive events and activities for the community every year. and we are keen for you to be a part of it! Are you an entertainer, poet, DJ, novelist, a food or beverage vendor, MC, photographer, videographer, event industry provider?

Culture Fest
Culture Fest will be returning as Palmerston’s major celebration of culture. Transforming Palmerston's CBD; Goyder Square and Frances Drive; the event will be a vibrant celebration of multiculturism through a variety of dance, music, food and workshops.
We will be looking for organisations or businesses to partake in our cultural celebration. Apply to express your interest in participating as a performer, food vendor, activity provider and/or information provider.

Palmerston Youth Festival
The festival is set to return in the 2025 July school holidays. Offering seven days of free events, it showcases everything from art, music, design and sport - making it an exciting opportunity for young people to explore their interests.
We will be looking for unique opportunities to engage youth during the following festival events:
- Monday 7 July: NAIDOC Pool Party
- Tuesday 8 July: Pamper Palmy
- Wednesday 9 July: Sports Fest
- Thursday 10 July: Creative Collective
- Friday 11 July: Palmy’s Got Talent

Geekfest Top End
Held as part of the Palmerston Youth Festival on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July, the event celebrates all things geek culture from cosplay competitions, special guests, laser tag, medieval land, performances, and E-sports competitions.
Opportunities include:
- Food Vendors: Serve up something delicious for our attendees!
- Geek Culture Activity Providers: Help us keep everyone entertained and inspire the next generation of innovators
- Merchandise Stalls: Bring your geek-themed products to the masses.
- Exhibition, Art or Hobby Stalls: Share your artistic creations and hobbies with fellow enthusiasts.

Committee Member
We facilitate a number of advisory committees and encourage the community to join. The Palmerston Community Committees include, the Safety Advisory Committee, the Wellbeing Advisory Committee, the Vibrant Economy Advisory Committee, Risk Management and Audit Committee. The committees offer Council advise on related matters in line with respective terms of reference. All positions on the committee are for a two year term, and meetings occur quarterly.
