With the official results announced from the Northern Territory Electoral Commission, Palmerston enters a new chapter with the formation of its eleventh (11th) Council. The composition of the eleventh City of Palmerston Council is as follows-

Returning to lead the new council is Her Worship the Mayor, Athina Pascoe-Bell, who stated, “I want to sincerely thank the people of Palmerston for their trust and support, my family for standing beside me and City of Palmerston staff for their tireless commitment to our community.

Looking ahead, my focus will be on strengthening the sense of connection that makes Palmerston unique. Together, we will support families, encourage local business, enhance liveability and build a more inclusive and vibrant city.

None of this can be achieved alone, it will take collaboration across all sectors, and I look forward to working side by side with our community.

Over the next four (4) years, I commit to serving with integrity, energy and dedication”.

The new council has officially been sworn in, taking an Affirmation of Office, on Tuesday 9 September at Gray Community Hall.

The 11th Council will sit for their first Ordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 16 September 2025 beginning at 5:00pm at Council Chambers, Civic Centre, 1 Chung Wah Terrace.

As with all Council meetings, residents and media are encouraged to attend to experience council decision-making processes and to meet and raise any issues with their local representatives.
