Recognise Local Excellence: Nominations open for the 2025 Palmerston Australia Day Awards

City of Palmerston is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open to celebrate and honour the exceptional individuals and community events that make Palmerston a vibrant and caring community.

These awards are administered on behalf of the Australia Day Council Northern Territory and will be presented at the 2025 Australia Day ceremony.

Australia Day in Palmerston is a special occasion, featuring a Citizenship Ceremony to welcome the country’s newest residents and the presentation of our esteemed local awards.

City of Palmerston’s Mayor, Athina Pascoe-Bell highlighted the significance of these awards and encouraged the community to submit a nomination, “Our vision for Palmerston is ‘A Place for People,’ and these awards provide the perfect platform to acknowledge the incredible efforts of individuals and groups who bring this vision to life.”

“If you know an individual or group who has made a meaningful impact in Palmerston, your nomination can help recognise their dedication and hard work that makes our community what it is today,” she said.

Nominees could be community leaders, role models, people who go above and beyond to improve the lives of others or quiet achievers.
