City of Palmerston has released its own mobile application providing residents and visitors a range of Council services in the palm of their hand.
The free app is a communication tool, containing Council events and news, bin collection days and reminders, and includes features to make payments online and report issues.
City of Palmerston, Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell, said the implementation of the app is another example of Council improving its customer service delivery.
“We are always looking at ways to improve our services to meet the needs of our growing community. Residents using the app are now able to connect with Council at a click of a button.
The expansion to a mobile platform complements other Council initiatives to make interaction easy and efficient for our customers. This includes extending our opening hours and providing Council services, such as dog registration and rate payments across multiple Council facilities,” she said.
Over time Council will update the app with additional features.
The app is available to download in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
