We are seeking community feedback on the potential closure of the footpath linking Wright Crescent and Victoria Drive, along with the outdoor exercise equipment located near Gray Community Hall. Please refer to the image below, which highlights the footpath and exercise equipment in yellow.

Gray Community Hall is a well-utilised community facility that supports a range of activities and events, many of which rely on both indoor and outdoor spaces. Over the past two years, Council has received reports from facility users regarding safety concerns and ongoing antisocial behaviour occurring near the hall, including along the adjoining footpath and around the outdoor exercise equipment.
Facility users have previously been consulted and shared their experiences using the facility and the surrounding areas. This feedback informed a Council report and a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design assessment, which considered options to improve safety at and around the facility.
We are now seeking broader community feedback, particularly from residents and people who may use the footpath or exercise equipment, to better understand current usage and any concerns or support for the proposed closure.
Community safety is our priority. All feedback received through this engagement will be considered to help inform next steps.
Community consultation is open from 16 February until 8 March 2026.
