City of Palmerston is bringing local businesses and industry leaders together for the 2026 Palmerston Business Futures Forum as part of October Business Month, to explore emerging opportunities and the future of business in Palmerston.
Now in its third year, the Forum will take a more targeted, industry-focused approach, bringing together local businesses, industry experts and operators to connect and explore opportunities for growth.
The Forum will have discussions on upcoming major projects and investment in Palmerston and the potential outcomes for local businesses. Businesses will also have the opportunity to explore emerging trends and share their views on areas Council should prioritise to support sustainable business and industry growth.
City of Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said the Forum provides an opportunity to hear directly from local businesses about the future of Palmerston’s economy.
"Our local businesses are an important part of Palmerston’s growth, and we want to make sure they have opportunities to be part of what comes next," Mayor Pascoe-Bell said.
"The Business Futures Forum is an opportunity to connect with other businesses and industry leaders, learn about what’s ahead and share ideas about how we can continue to support a strong and resilient business community."
Insights gathered through the Forum will help inform Council’s economic development priorities and continue to support the implementation of the Palmerston Local Economic Plan 2021–31.
The 2026 Palmerston Business Futures Forum will be held on Thursday 22 October from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at Rydges Palmerston, with optional networking until 10am. The Forum is free to attend, with breakfast provided and registration required.
