City of Palmerston is calling for nominations for its 2019 Australia Day Awards to recognises residents for their outstanding contributions to the community. 

City of Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said “The Australia Day Awards are a proud tradition for the City of Palmerston, providing the chance to publicly thank those who make such a valuable contribution to our community.

We all know someone who deserves to be recognised for the work they do to make our community great - a teacher, student, volunteers, your local footy coach.

While Australia Day may seem a while away, now is the time to show your appreciation and nominate them for the Palmerston Awards by 30 November,” she added.  

The nomination categories for the 2019 Palmerston awards are: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.

Nominations are open until Friday 30 November 2018 at www.palmerston.nt.gov.au 

Award winners will be announced at City of Palmerston’s Australia Day celebrations, held on 26 January 2019 at the Palmerston Recreation Centre.
