Irrigation

Council has introduced an automatic telemetric water system to reduce labour costs in providing adequate dry season water regimes, however vandalism and insect attack can cause problems.

Where-ever possible underground bores are used to water Councils grassed areas in an effort to save costs and improve efficiency. Approximately $100,000 a year is spent on watering public parks.
