Council has been advised that a crocodile may currently be present in lake 9 in Durack (this lake is visible from Luxmore Court, DeCourcy Place, Minto Land and Helvetius Court).
The Crocodile Management Team has been informed and will place a trap in the lake today. Warning signs are currently in place.
Residents are urged to be 'Croc Wise', stay away from the water’s edge and not to allow dogs to swim in the lake.
If residents do sight any crocodiles in the Palmerston area they should report them to the Crocodile Management Team on 8983 2475 or 0419 822 859.
