City of Palmerston has received a land grant from the Northern Territory Government for approximately 46.95 hectares of Crown Land in Zuccoli. City of Palmerston plans to develop this lot into an exciting multipurpose community hub and has engaged Rossi Architects to develop a master plan.
The projects lifespan is five years, and will be developed in stages. Stage one of the development will include an Off-leash Dog Park and will be completed in November 2021.
The remaining stages and final plans will undergo a community consultation. There is currently limited facilities, parks or public use areas in Zuccoli and surrounds, and the community hub plans to fill this gap. It is suggested the hub will include;
- Walking trails
- Skate Park
- Pump Track
- Children's Library
- Community area
- Garden of reflection
City of Palmerston welcomes community feedback on this project, with community consultation for the broader development to begin towards the end of September (after the Local Government Election).
- Open This consultation will be open for contributions in September 2021
