Council manages approximately 220 hectares of open space, of which 126 hectares are irrigated. Approximately 88 hectares are irrigated through bores and lake systems, and 37 hectares uses mains water.

An automated telemetric water system is used to monitor these significant assets. Many of our irrigation assets, including the controllers and bores are reaching the end of their useful life and Council is actively working on finding new and innovative solutions.

If there is an issue with the irrigation pipes and sprinklers, we may turn off that area to prevent water wastage whilst we undertake repairs. We are also trialling a new irrigation controller system that will provide improved information on water usage.

Irrigation issues can be reported here.
